Today I am thankful for COMMUNITY.
We live in the country, but we are surrounded by great neighbors! Their homes are just a little farther away then if we lived in town.
During this past week, two of the older ladies of the community passed away. These ladies grew up with my mother-in-law (who is 92), they raised their children here, and attended our rural church. They were both sweethearts and we shared many great memories.
This morning, I will be cooking for one of the families. This is what neighbors do here. And I want my children and grandchildren to experience this tradition of caring for one another passed on. WE Have to TEACH the next GENERATION.
I had a blogger leave a comment yesterday (thank you, Karen) and asked, “Is November 13th really World Kindness Day? People should be kind everyday.” How TRUE! But sometimes we need to be reminded and sometimes, there are those who have never been shown that “kindness” is an action we choose to do.
May your day be filled with kindness!

Blessings,

P.S. I'll be back a little later to show you what we made! It smells wonderful!.;)
