Meet Me on Monday

Questions:

1.  What is your favorite kind of muffin?

Blueberry

2.  What was the first car you ever owned?

The first car I ever owned was a 1959 Plymouth.  It had been "retired" from the cab company my family owned and I had strict orders not to drive it out of the city limits, because Daddy didn't want to have to pay to have it towed home.
It was a standard (shift) and every time I shifted into second gear, the gears would hang.  I'd have to get out and un-hang the gears!  My friends and I had more fun than you can imagine in that old car!
And it was MELON colored with a white top!

3.  Which TV Show were you sad to see end?

We don't watch TV (anymore), so it is really difficult to remember back to a show I was sad to see end.
Many of the old shows, we have on DVD and some like the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie
have been enjoyed by 4 generations!
I guess I was most upset when The Carol Burnett Show
ended.

4.  What is your lucky number?

 All of them!

5.  Pretzels or Potato Chips?

I like both, but I'm going to have to go with Pretzels!

Be sure and go by Java's blog, Never Growing Old, and checkout the other Meet Me on Monday bloggers!

Blessings!

Have a great week!

Happy Monday Everyone! Only 19 days 'til Christmas!

Hey, New Followers....

I'm happy to see you here!  I'll try to get around to everybody's blog and follow you back real soon.  As you can imagine, this is a busy time of year for the candle business!

Java (Never Growing Old) is up and blogging once more after having a bout with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo…..something that is terribly unpleasant.

Be sure and go by and visit or link up with Meet Me on Monday!

Here are the questions for this week.

    1.  What is your favorite kind of cheese?
Hmmm….I like cheese.  My favorites would include ~ Colby, Pepper Jack, Mild Cheddar, Mozzarella…..Did you know Mozzarella Cheese was originally made with Yak milk?  Just saying.

  1. What size is your bed?

Ours is just a regular…full size.  We have had the king size and it was nice, especially when the kids were younger and migrated our way when they didn’t feel good or a dream had awaken them.  But they finally out grew that phase and we like the full size better.

3.  What is your most overused phrase?
I have two!  Are you kidding?!!!  And…(my favorite put off phrase), “we’ll see.”  Then of course there is, "Would you please quieten down?!!!"

4.  Green or purple grapes?
Purple!  They are definitely the best.  But I like green apples.

  1. Shower, morning or night?
If it is at night, it’s a nice long relaxing bath.  If it is in the morning it is usually a quick shower.

Our Holiday Bliss this weekend consisted of lots of Christmas Music and working on Christmas cards.  The boys (plus cousins) did enjoy some cups of loaded hot chocolate.  They added whipped cream, peppermint sticks and marshmallows.....all at one time.  I stuck with hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks.

I posted another quick (and inexpensive) Christmas idea on Homemade Country Christmas

and

I found another free ebook that you might find interesting.

The week of giveaways continues at Frenchy's!
The candle giveaway is still open, if you would like to go by and leave a comment.

Meet Me On Monday and other news!

New Followers....Hi, make yourself at home!  It is so good to *see* you!

I am running behind….you know the feeling?  Getting ready for Thanksgiving, we had company over the weekend, trying to “clean” (okay, that is nearly an impossibility) and attempting a little online shopping when the boys aren’t LOOKING over my shoulder!!!  And we have a minor stomach virus going on. :(  Plus, my reader's list says I'm not following any blogs! arrrggghh!  (It is MONDAY after all.)

Anyway, to get caught up, I will probably be posting a little through out the day….just check back.  I promised to blog about a few giveaways, I have one new freebie, and today is the day I am suppose to post pictures of our Holiday Swap hosted by Parsley. Go by and see all the cool swaps!  These are some seriously talented ladies (not including myself).

Meet Me on Monday

(Be sure and go by Java’s and link up with your own answers!)

Today’s Questions:

1.  How many pillows do you sleep with?

One king size, but I am considering purchasing one of those new pillows that is suppose to stay cool all night.

2.  Where will you eat on Thanksgiving?

Everyone is coming to our house, for a total of (TADA!) 22.  I am really praying for nice weather, so all those who are not essential to putting the meal on the table can entertain themselves OUTSIDE!

 3.  Had you rather go to a party or host a party?

I'd rather sleep!  Sorry, I am so not a party animal!

4.  How many purses do you own?

Three or four, but I usually carry the same one until I wear it out!  I am a creature of habit....(or does that translate as boring? LOL)

 5.  What is your favorite seafood?

Shrimp, preferably fried!  However....since the big oil "spill" seafood has not been at the top of my "want list."  But if anyone is going to Red Lobster, I'll go for the garlic cheese biscuits.  Just saying!

Blessings,
Cheryl

Meet Me On Monday

Be sure to visit Java at Never Growing Old for more Meet Me on Monday entries.

"Its a great way to meet new friends and for others to get to know me better....one Monday at a time!!!"....as quoted by the Chacogirl!! I will make this SIMPLE and FUN!!!

(All ya gotta do is answer five little questions!)

1.  Do you eat Sushi?

In a word, NO.  In all fairness I have never tried Sushi.  I have also never tried rattlesnake, possum, or squid, along with a number of other things…nor do I intend do.

2.  What kind of bath soap do you use?

I use an all natural goat’s milk soap.  My favorite fragrance is Sandalwood.  It’s wonderful.

   3.  How often do you talk to your Mom?

Mom passed away in 2003.  We visited several times a week and the last 4 years, she
lived with us.  I talk to my mother-in-law nearly everyday.

  4.  What TV shows do you watch on a regular basis?

We do not have dish/cable/etc. and I am not a big TV fan (there was a time, I was).
We do have an international satellite (Galaxy 19), where we can watch movies,
news, educational programs and Hebraic studies.

5.      Did you start Christmas shopping yet?

A little, mostly I have my list made, along with ideas.  I have ordered a couple of things online and I picked up a few small items at a craft fair last weekend.

Have a great week!
