Summer Thoughts From A to Z”

“Summer Thoughts” is brought to you by Katharine.  Just click on the button and you can read all about it.  We are blogging through the Alphabet during the first 26 days of July.

~ L ~

”Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”
 1 Corinthians 13:4 (NIV)

Ten things I love about summer:

The smell of honeysuckle and
the smell of fresh mowed hay
Ice cold watermelon
Sitting in the garden (normally, not so much during this heatwave)
The night sky
Going barefoot
Peaches, blackberries and cantaloupe.
Fresh sliced tomatoes out of the garden
More daylight
Tomorrow will be the seventh week for "Building Our Homes Together"!  Lots of good things happening!  Be sure to come for a visit or write your own post and link up.  You can find the details at Prairie Flower Farm!

  1. All of those things except for the honeysuckle (don't have any) and the snowcones (don't like 'em) just scream summer. And I am with you...this heat is squashing my enjoyment of the summer garden. Have a blessed Tuesday! :)

  2. It is hot here too! I love the picture, so inviting and peaceful!

  3. Stacy Lynn....I really don't remember a heatwave quite like this...I'm sure we've had them, the records say we have. But this one sure has knocked the soup out of me! ...could be an age thing...nah!!! ;)

Pina Colada snow cones are pretty good!!! LOL

Katharine....I know, that front porch is calling my name!

Praying you both have a blessed day!

  4. Thanks for saying such kind things! :) I really had fun doing your blog design. And my preference is to have LOTS of feedback because it helps me be sure that I am giving you what you want! :)

Great verse today and a wonderful list of summer loves!

  5. I really enjoy I Corinthians 13...the LOVE chapter :) :) Also love the photo of that front porch, too :) :) have a great day :) :) I'm looking forward to the "Building Our Homes Together" over at Prairie Flower Farm. I've got to take some photos today and write my blog post ;) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  6. Beth....meant every word of it!!! You are the best! And isn't it fun to learn something new? Did you know, yesterday was the first time I have ever emailed a picture?....that wasn't something I could just forward. ;) And look at YOU, girl, you are learning all kinds of new stuff!!!

Heather, can't wait to see what you been making!!! Still love the flag mats you were working on last week. Be sure and let me know how you dad is doing before Friday. It was good to hear he is doing better. Praying his health continues to improve.

    Hugs to all of you!

  7. Beth did a great job on your banner! I'm impressed!

Thank you for taking the time to comment! It is always a joy to hear from you.
