Tuesday's Treasures

Mari, at Mari Larkin is starting a new meme and today is the first day! It is for us grandmothers (I am Mammaw), or whatever your precious grands call you, to have a chance to share. Come on, you know you want to show those babies off!

I chose some pictures from last summer. There is a wonderful lake about 12 miles from the house and you gotta know, all the grands like to meet there to swim, fish and cookout.

Below are the three youngest (for now). In this first picture Mac (Michaela) is on the left and Keighly (pronounced Key Lee) is on the right.

This is Shaylee Elizabeth and today is her birthday!

Shaylee is in kindergarten and knows all the cheerleading moves! You should see her teaching the other two cheers and dance. I laugh until I cry! They are adorable and make my heart smile. They truly give me a merry heart and we all know ~ A merry heart doth good like a medicine!

Thanks, Mari, for the opportunity to share.

  1. Oh my Cheryl, what precious girls. I told my kids that Grandma needs some pink around...meaning bring on the girls. Just boys for now. Love your "grands" names too...very cool.
So you are called Mammaw...nice. I really don't have a name that has officially stuck yet. But we'll see.
Thanks so much for participating and linking up. This is fun.

  2. I need to be a grandma!! But I guess my own kids need to grow up first.

  3. What beautiful kiddos! This will be so much fun! I only have one, but we adore her. We have the potential, with six kids to have a boatload! By the way, the earring giveaway is still on. I talked to Nancy and she still has a few left :)

  4. They are beautiful children and I so know what you you mean about making your heart smile! (Friends do the same thing to me! Thanks friend!) I'm going to have to link up with this meme (which sounds like a grandma name itself) once I finish responding to comments! :)

  5. I wanted to drop by and tell you what beautiful granddaughters you have, Cheryl! I so enjoyed meeting these three. Each of them has the most beautiful smile! Hope that Shaylee had a happy birthday today!

I'm not exactly sure how things are going to turn out this summer with the three grands. I would love nothing better than to have all three of them at one time, but don't know if I'll be able to convince the parents that it won't be too much for me. ~wink~

I also wanted to thank you for stopping by earlier this morning to see how I was feeling today. I'm doing better. I appreciate your concern.

  6. What a treat :) I look forward to being a grandma...

  7. Hey Girlie!

I need to finish up here and head to bed but I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the time, friendship, and prayer that you have invested in me this past couple of weeks!

I'm looking forward to getting tomorrow behind me and having less time for blogging because I can get out of this silly chair and go walking and water aerobic-ing and all that other stuff!

Thanks for praying and I will either touch base tomorrow or have my husband do so.

    Love you!

p.s. dinner was chicken and rice casserole :)

  8. Your grands are gorgeous! Happy Birthday to Shaylee!

Thank you for taking the time to comment! It is always a joy to hear from you.
