This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
Normally, I like to post The Simple Woman’s Daybook on Monday; however since it is November 1st I wanted to get off to a good start with 30 Days of Gratitude! If you would like to join, go on over to Garden of Learning.
Today I am thankful for family. Not just mine, though I am crazy about them, but yours, too! I have met so many wonderful families via the Land of Blogdom. It is an honor to be able to share little glimpses of your days and your families.
If you haven’t read this post about two sisters, you should. It will make your smile!
And here is a post Lyn shared about her sons that is so sweet. You might want to grab a tissue or two.
And if you want, grab the box of tissues and come along with me. Have you met Cyn? Have you seen the precious pictures of her grandson, Alex? If not, this story will have you in tears. This family will triumph in the midst of adversity, I know they will. God will see them through the crisis they are facing.
As you read their story, it brings the health of your sweet loved ones to the top of the list when it comes to what is important. And in turn what we are most thankful for.
I am dedicating today’s post to families. How they make our hearts sing and how they are able to give us the most cause for concern. Still they are precious. They make our hearts overflow with love.
“Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.” ~ Psalms 127:3-5
